Mucorales are fast-growing thermostat fungi that ubiquitous in environment. Most common form is rhino-orbito-cerebral mucormycosis. It the third most cause of invasive fungal infections following asperigillosis and candidiasis. Their incidence has increased recent times, especially 2 wave COVID-19 India. caused by non-segmented negative sense RNA virus, which causes profound lymphopenia. Glucocorticoid emerged as main treatment choice for patients with severe symptoms. The increasingly affected mucormycosis because decreased immunity, impaired defense mechanisms, dysfunctional lymphocytes neutrophils, injudicious use glucocorticoids. Diabetes mellitus an independent risk factor both COVID-19. Hyperglycemia due to diabetes glucocorticoid increases infection greater availability glucose pathogen, lower response T cells, acidic Ph. This fungus predilection invade blood vessels leading extensive necrosis (black eschar). overall mortality rate 56%. Mortality depends upon underlying health condition patient part body affected. In this retrospective study, we present interesting case series 15 Association diabetes, uncontrolled glycemic index was found all cases. associated seen 10 patients.
